When? Saturday, April 30 from 1 pm - 5 pm

Who? This event is FREE to the entire community. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, school faculty.

You can bring your children and learn at the same time….

How? We will have numerous organized activities to educate and entertain our young kids, preteens and teenagers. The classrooms are right across from the gymnasium one doorway away.

We are so grateful for the following practices that have supported PAK all these years and will educate our community on this day with talks such as: Food Allergy 101, Testing, EoE, Preparing for college, and so much more...

AAIR of Charlotte, Allergy & Asthma Care of Blakeney, Allergy & Asthma Center of Lake Norman,  Asthma & Allergy Specialists, PA, Carolina Asthma & Allergy Center, Charlotte Medical Clinic- Allergy and Immunology, Family Allergy Asthma & Sinus Care PLUS 2 special guests Dr. Edwin Kim giving a food allergy study update from UNC Chapel Hill and Lynn Heun from FARE discussing protecting our kids in the school setting.

No food will be allowed in the area of the Symposium. There will be a 20 minute break, step out to the cars for a quick snack if needed, then wash up afterwards. Still looking for more Teen Ambassadors to fellowship with the younger kids at the last segment of the day. Email info@pakcharlotte.org if interested

What to bring?   The event is FREE, but we are asking for some donations…

Child scissors, crayons, glue sticks, colored pencils for St. Matthew Catholic Church (our space for event was free for our group, so we would love to be able to give them a donation to help their ministry)

The PAK teen council members are collecting jars of Sunbutter/Wowbutter or any other nut free spread for A Child’s Place. They have told us that they need 100 jars. They are also in need of nut free/top 8 free granola bars. The teen council is also collecting pennies for the Charlotte Ronald McDonald house. Please bring your donations to the Symposium!

Stay tuned for May Events and Activities… Food Allergy Awareness Week is May 8-14!
