PAK Parent & Youth Workshop This Thursday!
A PARENT GROUP WORKSHOP is available this Thursday, September 15, from 6-7 p.m. This is for parents only. **We will have games and activites for the kids while parents are in session. Jodi Stokes and Carrie Merner, PAK Co-Leaders, will help keep an eye on the kids while you are in the discussion.**
A YOUTH GROUP WORKSHOP for youth ages 8-17 years old this Thursday, September 15, from 7-8 p.m. will be held on the same day and at the same location as the Parent Group Workshop.
HOW DOES A WORKSHOP, WORK? The workshops are meant to cover all aspects of dealing with a severe allergy diagosis in an age appropriate manner. They are open-ended, meaning, that there will not be a set theme to discuss on that day. Topics to be covered, but are not limited to are: stress, anxiety, dealing with friends, schools, outside activities, autoinjector management and the like.
HOW DO I SIGN-UP? RSVP whether a parent, a child or both are attending by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll then see you there!
You do not have to commit to all monthly sessions. Come when you can!
This IMPAKT get together will be the start of the workshop series. This project was made possible through a community award from Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE). It will be run by Jon Eccleston, LCSW from Carolinas Therapy Solutions.
